Orchestra Medleys on a missions theme are useful throughout the year when outreach and commitment are themes of the services. This medley includes some of the more beautiful missions melodies, and ends with a stronger call to "Rescue the Perishing." The arrangment has been used for preludes and offertories by church and school orchestras in the Washington / Baltimore area and has even been used by military band members in the ministries of their local churches. The setting isjust the right length for an offertory. You do not need a full orchestra to make this arrangement work. 6-8 brass, 4 woodwinds, an optional string with piano will cover the needed parts. Of course, the setting includes parts for full orchestra, including percussion, harp and full strings, brass, and woodwinds.
