Based on the Beethoven "Ode to Joy," this fanfare may be used as an opener for any event requiring a triumphant atmosphere. It starts and ends in G major, moves through some interesting harmonic changes and ends again in G. It may be used as an introduction to the hymn "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee" or as an interlude before the last verse. This fanfare works with just three trumpets, yet is expandable to brass choir.
