Written for trombones by a trombone player, this new, upbeat arrangement of a great American classic will be an important part of your library! The piece starts with a Dixieland type vamp in the bass trombone. The other trombones then enter with more contemporary harmonies. The lead trombone plays the melody, and before you know it there is a jazz waltz for a few measures. Although written for trombones, this arrangement also works with a variety of low brass combinations. The 1st - 4th trombone parts are playable by baritone horns or euphoniums. The 5th trombone part is playable by bass trombone, tenor trombone with an "F" attachment, 4 valve euphonium or tuba. A fun piece to play all year round!
