Starting with a solo trombone, this piece quickly blossoms into a rich contemporary harmonic expression with the whole ensemble. There are three statements of the hymn and everyone in the ensemble gets to play the melody at some time in the arrangement. Although some endurance is needed by the 1st trombone, the striking beauty of the arrangement is well worth the effort. This piece is great for communion, special music and preludes.
