This arrangement includes the solo and accompaniment string parts used by Washington professional ensembles and student string orchestras for their concert, or church ministry use. Because the original violin solo and piano are complete in themselves, adding any number of other players, up to a full string orchestra is possible with this arrangement. Chord-bed parts plus the original arpeggiated cello lines are included in this setting. Some groups will use mutes on the string accompaniment parts to allow the solo part to stand out more significantly. This is one of the most beautiful pieces for strings to use in a wedding prelude - but also is a highly liked piece for service preludes in churches.
