This set includes three complete arrangements on hymns of Commitment and Consecration - ideal for Service Preludes, Meditations, Prayer Time, or worshipful offertories. Each setting uses closely voiced, beautiful harmonies for the string quartet, string quintet, or string orchestra. The ranges are very moderate, and first violin can be played 8va almost anytime at the players discretion. Each arrangement changes keys, and is full length. With optional repeats, the settings can be made useful for lengthy preludes, or as music appropriate during a baptism or communion time. School ensembles will appreciate the instrumental colors and harmonies, and will use these as contrasting music on longer programs. Pizzicato bass is suggested for "Just a Closer Walk With Thee." The arrangements in this series always allow for Viola or Violin to cover the 3rd part.
