The opening of this piece is reminiscent of a brass fanfare! The arrangement has a robust introduction that allows the string players to show a contrasting side to the sweet, melodic ines we often hear. A contrasting section does arrive, passing the melody to the lower instruments while the first violin enjoys a moving 8th note obbligato line. Included in this package - one in F and another in G which should match most hymnals.
