Solo cello sings the sweet melody of this traditional carol, and moves over counter-melody as the viola joins in. The duet is joined a short time later by the voice of the second violin, and finally the first violin crowns the ensemble with the melody. Modulation and lush chords build to a beautiful conclusion.
